Pledge to SAVE the EARTH.

We at DHANAK not only aims to make the future of kids brighter by providing them education but also by making earth, a better place to live for them.We don’t realize the fact that earth is also our home and we have to keep it clean just like it.

So, we took the initiative to celebrate the International Environment Day this year by planting around 80 trees across Vasundhara area of Ghaziabad. Everyone from elderly to younglings came forward and helped us in our initiative. When planting trees we saw the how poorly government bodies have maintained the parks around our area, we found tons of plastic buried under the soil which we had to clean to plant the trees. World Environment Day !

Humans are both creatures and moulders of their environment, which gives them physical sustenance and affords them the opportunity for intellectual, moral, social and spiritual growth. In the long and tortuous evolution of the human race on this planet a stage has been reached when, through the rapid acceleration of science and technology, humans have acquired the power to transform their environment in countless ways and on an unprecedented scale.

The United Nations, aware that the protection and improvement of the human environment is a major issue, which affects the well-being of peoples and economic development throughout the world, designated 5 June as World Environment Day. The celebration of this day provides us with an opportunity to broaden the basis for an enlightened opinion and responsible conduct by individuals, enterprises and communities in preserving and enhancing the environment. Since it began in 1974, it has grown to become a global platform for public outreach that is widely celebrated in more than 100 countries. Continue reading World Environment Day !

Around 1.2 billion children live under the bread line and almost 153 million children live in areas affected by what researchers identified as the three main threats affecting children’s well being. Continue reading International Children’s Day

Why you should be volunteering for a social cause right now.

“You make a living by what you get. You make a life by what you give.” -Winston Churchill

Volunteering helps you contribute and give back to the society. Volunteering is not just about doing a good deed but also gaining from it personally and professionally.

Some of the benefits of volunteering are:

Connect with people
With the onset of technology and social media and in race of making virtual connections we have forgotten about the real connections that matter, that is the connection we make by meeting people in person where people can communicate through emotions and body language more effectively than any other medium. Volunteering gives you this opportunity, through volunteering you can make new friends, improve your social skills and even expand your network which could help you in getting references for your future jobs.
